The Story behind KirosPharma
The idea behind KirosPharma started with Nieshlin Naidoo, a Pharmacist with 28 years of industry expertise, who has witnessed the community pharmacy sector become a shadow of what it used to be, since 2003.
The regulation changes to pharmacy ownership in 2003, has done little to overcome the imbalance in Healthcare demographics in this country. Corporates dominate the landscape to the detriment of independent Pharmacies.
After much research and patient feedback, the idea of KirosPharma was decided on. A novel concept in South Africa, offering all healthcare products, with no markup.
As procurement will form a major backbone of such a venture, we sought the expertise of a seasoned buyer, Julian Peter, who has behind him a 30 year track record in the industry, handling procurement for the likes of Letangs Wholesale Chemist and Adcock-Ingram.
His network and relationship with suppliers will enable us to procure the best possible deals.
While we have a combined more than 58 years in the pharmaceutical industry, most importantly, we share a common vision to deliver the highest levels of patient care, at the most reasonable pricing ever seen!
